Drum Lampshade Workshop
Join us for a fun and creative workshop where a limited number of students will learn how to make their own unique drum lampshade using a fabric of their choice. This hands-on class will guide you through the entire process, from selecting materials to the final assembly.
Your Instructor
Welcome Susan Sousa of Xtra Sew Ordinary, our expert guest educator for this class!
Susan attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York before meeting her husband while on vacation in Bermuda, where the two proceeded to spend 30 years. While working full-time in the insurance industry, she stumbled upon classes at Workroom Tech (Tryon, North Carolina) which encouraged her to begin working part-time in the evenings fabricating window treatments, pillows, and cushions. Susan's journey has taken her from the shores of Bermuda to her cozy workroom in Williamsburg, Virginia where she has developed a fascination for – and expertise in – custom lampshades.

Limited Space: 5 students
Cost: $225 per student
Materials Provided: All crafting materials, supplies, and tools EXCEPT for fabric.
What to Bring: Your chosen fabric (1-2 yards). DO NOT bring 100% silk fabric, fabric with coating/vinyl or duck canvas fabric.
